Recently, an unexpected flood affected many parts of the province Padang, in West Sumatra, including the area of the library. There were a couple of centimetres of muddy water covering the floor of the library. Some books were lost, but fortunately not too many. We are very appreciative of those who helped to clean the house and the library. 

Once the mud was removed, the children’s program has been able to continue. Regular library hours will resume in July.
