SEEDS places professionals from a variety of backgrounds with charities, universities and organisations working with developing communities in Southeast Asia. SEEDS professionals and local colleagues exchange their expertise and experience, contributing to local economies through the transfer of knowledge and skills, and developing a deeper understanding of the unique needs in this region.
Our network allows a wide variety of placements as we connect qualified, experienced people from different disciplines with appropriate opportunities in local organisations. We work across three main streams: education, health and community development.
Education
SEEDS members work in a range of educational contexts, from university lecturing to teacher training to English enhancement.
Community Health
Our medical professionals work to develop and enhance community health services in local areas, working within existing structures and supporting local services.
Community Development
Community development services respond to needs expressed by the poor at a local level, empowering individuals and stimulating new ideas and initiatives that alleviate poverty.
